What We Do
We offer custom timber frame design and construction services. We are excited to take on projects big or small. From garden sheds, woodsheds and porches to cabins and barns. The opportunities to add a handmade aesthetic and heirloom, vernacular architecture to your home or property are endless.
All of our buildings are made with primarily Western Spruce and/or Lodgepole Pine and sawn by a local sawyer who we work closely with. We cut the frame at our shop and then deliver and assemble once all the joinery is complete. All joints are secured with hand carved oak pegs. Traditionally timber frames were cut and assembled by the carpenter/s and then raised by the community in one day. We’ve had the pleasure of continuing this tradition with friends and clients and are always excited to have our clients take part in this rewarding stage of the project if they wish.
Our mission is to share our passion for the tradition of timber framing and to do our small part in creating spaces that inspire and connect us to the natural world while giving a sense of warmth and security. We believe that surrounding ourselves with natural materials that have been shaped by human hands is an experience that is fundamental to us as a species and we hope to make that possible for as many people as we can in our community and province.
